A. No, I use a soothing agent. However, for brows I do not use a pre numb. Using my needle and pigment I gently shade the first layer of pigment, this can be felt as a light scratch nothing more. After the skin is broken, a soothing gel is then applied to make you feel comfortable. People usually fall to sleep during procedures.
A. Let’s call it “light flaking”. It’s an unavoidable part of the treatment especially for brows. The pigment oxidises on the surface and flakes off between day 5-10. My aftercare will insure you have minimal flaking. Lips if left to dry out will also go flaky, by day 3-4 they will look normal. Again after care is essential here for minimal dryness.
A. Ombré brows are done using a machine and a fine needle gently building up soft sheer layers to achieve an ombré look. Brows appear dark during healing but fade 20-30% once fully healed. Note aim is to look natural and not like thick heavy makeup. Shading will heal soft behind your natural hair. If you have minimal hair the tattooed brow will be soft and powdery so not to be over powering like regular makeup can look.
The reason I use a machine is to avoid causing lasting trauma to the skin, by using a machine and a needle the integrity of your skin is not being compromised. Unlike microblading which is done using a fine blade to make incisions into the skin to implant the pigment which can causes unnecessary trauma and potential scarring.
Hair stroke brows are not recommended for people with oily or thin skin, the reason being is that these skin types will cause your hair strokes to expand and bleed together over time.
Ombre brows are my most popular choice, they last longer and age better. You could try Henna Brows before committing also. If you’re unsure you can book a free 30-minute consultation or book 1 hour for £20.
